Choosing a bank
We help you apply for an account with a Hong Kong local bank. During the free consultation and assessment (Stage 1), we explain which types of bank suit your business, shareholder background and payment needs, and what they generally require. We do not list individual banks on this page, and no bank endorses HKESC. The bank makes the final decision, and account opening is not guaranteed.
Government fees
No government fees apply to this service.

FAQ
Can you guarantee the account will be opened?
No. Approval is entirely the bank's decision under its own risk and compliance policies. We help you present a complete, clear application, but we cannot guarantee the outcome.
Do I have to come to Hong Kong?
It depends on the bank. Some digital banks and certain banks accept remote or video verification; traditional banks usually require directors and signatories to attend a branch in person. We will advise based on your situation.
Why do banks decline applications?
Common reasons include an unclear business description, insufficient evidence of real business activity, unclear source of funds, complex ownership structures, or links to higher-risk industries or jurisdictions. Banks generally do not give specific reasons.
How long does it take?
From application to account opening, anywhere from several weeks to several months, depending on the bank, the nature of the business and how complete the documents are.
How much do I need to deposit?
Minimum deposits, balance requirements and fees vary by bank. Please check each bank's latest terms.
Can a non-resident be an authorised signatory?
Generally yes, but banks will carry out more detailed due diligence, and some have additional requirements.
