Documents must be in colour; screenshots are not accepted; other languages need a notarised translation.
Where Hong Kong companies get stuck
- Statements go to a different address from the registered address.
- Documents older than 180 days.
- Names written differently across documents (punctuation and abbreviations count).
- Addresses shared by very many companies, which tends to trigger requests for more documents.
Checklist before you open the store
- Use one address for business registration, the Companies Registry, your bank and the marketplace;
- Open a company bank account so statements show that address;
- Keep address proof issued within 180 days;
- Standardise how the company name and contact name are written.
